For the Record…
Make Like Elsa and Let it Go - Myofascial Release THIS Sunday!
Are you willing to admit how much you’re carrying around that you don’t need and likely never wanted in the first place? I’ll tell you who knows. Your body knows, and your mind is likely working overtime to avoid admitting how much unnecessary extra weight you’re schlepping around.
I've Got a Blank Space, Baby...
We occupy it, own it, take it up, fly in the outer parts of it, and work overtime to create it. As humans, I’d say we’re pretty comfortable with the concept of space… but are we comfortable with it in reality?
Balance & Harmony On the Mat
Yoga is a universal language. Wherever you go, no matter what country or the native tongue, when you find a yoga studio there is a connection. No surprise, the word yoga directly translates to union.
We've got an attitude of gratitude and we owe it all to you.
There seems to be a prominent energy running through the Soul Dive walls. Maybe you have noticed it lately while lying in Savasana or sitting on the pink couch after class. Although it is more of a feeling, the energy can best be described as expansion.

Full Circle
I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe everything we experience is with a divine purpose. I believe every single person that comes into our life is there for a reason, whether a short season or a lifelong journey, it’s never for nothing. I know this to be true for me and I invite you to come along for a little story about how I got here.
I shared a little of my past a while back, but many have joined our community since then so please allow me to re-roll the tape…
Get Set…
One week from TODAY our October schedule falls into place. The next 7 days are full of finishing touches, staging and saging the space, organizing our fresh mats, blocks, bolsters and props. You could say we are perfecting, getting dialed into every last detail. But I refuse to allow the notion of perfection into the conversation. We have made unimaginable progress and that is worth celebrating. Progress, not perfection. We are imperfect beings because we are human. Period. There is no room for perfect when we are constantly evolving and growing into deeper versions of ourselves.
On Your Mark…
A wise old owl once told me "the Goddess never hurries". The moment those words left her lips she likely regretted it. I’m one of those people that will be late to her own funeral. But as I reflected about time, timing and what it means to get ready, I learned this:
We arrive on our own time no matter what the invitation says. If the last 5 months of having a signed lease and NO yoga studio have taught me anything, it’s that whether we like the timing or not, it is divinely perfect.
Blind Faith
I have one question, Soul Dive Family… Are you a believer?
Do you believe that in a few short weeks a yoga studio will exist on El Paseo? You can kind of see it… behind the orange tape and the city officials poking around to ensure everything is up to code. But you can’t touch, feel, hear or really experience any of it yet. Through email, yes. Social media, sure. But it’s not really real yet. Yet! Operative word here, folks!
Breakthroughs & Breakdowns
Start the shot clock people! Here we come... They say it's about the journey and not the destination, but I'm sure we can all agree, when you reach the destination (or the first destination on your way) a celebration is in order. Well friends, we've hit the first destination. The walls have come down and the new door is currently getting installed. Can I get an amen hallelujah from the choir?
Small Victories
While I’m sitting here - or in some cases dangling by one thread that still somehow tethers me to the reality of being an entrepreneur - I have to take a moment and celebrate the wins as of late. I heard from a lot of you after that last note about doors… and learned that I’m in excellent company out here in my proverbial waiting room. As easy as it is to lament about the trials and tribulations of small business ownership, and being on the right side of every argument, I’m attempting (to some small degree of success) to get a little more comfortable - grateful even - in my own desert space. So if gratitude defines our attitude, then here we go…
Knock Knock…
They say when one door closes another opens. I know this to be true in my life. I was fired from my last job, and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit my ego cringes every time I share that… but like many entrepreneurs who came before me, getting fired was one of the best things that has happened in my life. If doors symbolize choice, and choice is both something we decide for ourselves or is decided for us, then I have nothing but gratitude for the proverbial door slamming in my face. It left me with this: Soul Dive couldn’t just be an idea anymore, it had to be real. After all, I was unemployed and to date, I have never had a formal job interview…
It's My Birthday - Flow Me the Money
My intentions lately have been as follows: Live, Love and Abundance. I have journaled pages and pages about each, getting very detailed about precisely what I’m asking for in prayer, practicing with these on my heart and listening to what shows up in my meditations. Live, Love and Abundance is it.
Delicious Ambiguity
Ambiguity is delicious. Gilda Radner said it best… “life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next…”Delicious ambiguity.
New Beginnings + Founding Members + Debut Partnerships
There is something quite special about beginning something new. The crisp morning air of a new day, the freedom of a fresh start, the unblemished reality of a new relationship, the anxious thrill of being the new kid… New beginnings are a breath of fresh air, matched with both anxiety and anticipation, hope and optimism that what’s ahead will undoubtedly be better than what’s behind.
